🙏Prayers and Spiritual Guidance

Prayer for the End of the School Year

God of wisdom,

We thank You for all the gifts You have given us throughout this school year.

We praise You for giving us life, for saving us in Christ and for choosing us to be Your people.

As we come to the end of this school year, we voice our gratitude for the good things You have done in us, and we praise You for all who have shared in the work of this school.

We ask You to bless them in Your love and give them refreshment and peace.

We praise YOu, God, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever.

Amen.

Fathers in Our Lives

We give our thanks, Creator God, for the fathers in our lives.

Fatherhood does not come with a manuel, and reality teaches us that some fathers excel while others fail.  We ask for Your blessings for them all and forgiveness where it is needed.

This Father's Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families, and the ways - both big and small - they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach.

So too, we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent; grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches, and the women of our families.

For those who are fathers, we ask for wisdom and humility in the face of the task of parenting.  Give them the strength to do well by their children and by You.  In Your Holy name, O God, we pray.

Amen.

June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Prayer of Trust to the Sacred Heart (in Times of Stress)

Holy Heart of Jesus, Sweet Sanctuary of rest,
bring peace to my soul and settle my spirit,
especially in the matter of_________________.
I vow to place all of my worries and fears
into the wound of your Sacred Heart,
there to be tended to in accordance with your perfect will,
which desires only the best and highest good.
Your love alone is enough, and I surrender to it;
clinging to the hope of a swift resolution
and trusting with confidence in all of your promises.
Amen.

💻EdTech Support and Resources

Wakelet

Wakelet is a curating and social bookmarking tool that allows you to save, organize and share content across the web.  You can save articles, videos, images, Tweets, and so much more.  Wakelet allows you to save resources that you find on the web, which isn't always possible with Google Drive.  It also helps to avoid overwhelming your bookmark bar in Chrome.

What's even more great about Wakelet is that it has a Chrome extension that allows you to save anything you find online to any of our collections that you create in Wakelet.

How can you use Wakelet in your Teaching?

You can use Wakelet to gather online resources pertaining to your subject matter or a unit that you are teaching into a collection.  You can choose to share your collection with others in your department or have your department collaborate on a shared Wakelet collection for a particular teaching unit.

So, if you are feeling inspired to create something new this summer, perhaps this is something you may wish to work on to introduce yourself to students in September or to upload to your VLE.
